Product Manager - Clean technology products - You will be responsible for: • As the Product Manager for Clean technology, focusing mostly on clean energy products, like BMS (Battery Management System), alternate chemistry batteries, solar lighting, Energy Storage Solutions, you will be responsible and accountable for the product ownership and management of products critical to the success of the Evolute Cleantech business • You will be responsible for and have the authority to conceptualize and manage the development and production of the all related products to clean energy • You will coordinate and lead the cross-functional core working team to ensure successful product delivery • Responsibility and Accountability includes defining Product Scope including Technical, Schedule and Cost factors. • You will be expected to focus on leading new product conceptualization, development, identifying production solutions (Make or Buy), Requirements Management, as well as collaborating on product plans and acceptance criteria • Primary deliverable will be the successful product design, product development, product test, POC, production, inclusive of suppliers, and applicable qualification and certification requirements • The Product Manager will o Define, launch, and drive technical and business initiatives to ensure product success and will be expected to resolve customer queries in ways acceptable to the end customer. o Develop strong relationships across Evolute group, inclusive of partners, and lead a multidisciplinary team to execute products within schedule and budget. o Build product task-based schedules, lead product kick off and / or scrum meetings, and track milestone progress against the product management plan. o Identify and manage program Risks, Issues and Opportunities to closure. o Utilize configuration control and change management to maintain technical discipline of the product. o Be responsible for product management tasks and development of standards and processes for planning, scheduling, administration, and accounting. • In collaboration with other stakeholders, you will define, acquire, and allocate budget, staff, and other resources necessary to accomplish the goals and/or objective of the program. Continually assesses market conditions, competitive pricing, offerings, plans, applications, customer trends/issues, and distribution/product trends. • Perform competitive analysis to ensure investments and strategies stay focused on market competitiveness. • Drive product execution, working closely with engineering, business development, marketing, and other teams. • Identify new market opportunities and develop business case to define P&L. • Keep abreast of technology introductions, competition, and changing market conditions. • Create and maintain clear documentation of product KPIs and value propositions and product requirements. • Create vision and strategy documents, propose, and maintain product roadmaps. • Communicate and create alignment with all parts of the organization – engineering, sales, marketing, and R&D. What you need: • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, or a related field as a bare minimum. • A minimum of 8 years plus related engineering or product management experience in battery packs, BMS, automotive systems design, energy storage solutions, and certification. • Product or program management experience. • Effective communication and people skills especially in team building/maintenance and customer relationships. • Must be able to act independently, routinely demonstrate initiative and make decisions on administrative / operational issues affecting the success of the program. • Excellent organizational skills and diligence. • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
